How to Pair Hearing Aids to iPhone:

‘Made For iPhone’ (MFi) Hearing Aids, can easily connect to your iPhone, iPad® or iPod touch®. You can then stream sound directly from your phone to your hearing aids, and use an app to control your hearing aids from your screen.

*Steps may vary depending on the iOS version installed on your device.

1. Go to Settings via your phone’s home screen. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.

2. Scroll down a little and then select Accessibility.

3. From the options on the Accessibility menu, select Hearing Devices.

4. At this point, restart your hearing aids (either open and close the battery doors; or place them in the charger for 5 seconds, then remove them) and place them close to your device. They will remain in pairing mode for around 3 minutes.

5. (a)Once detected by your phone, tap the name of the Hearing aids that you want to connect and confirm pairing in the pop-up. If you want to connect more than one hearing aid, repeat this step for the second hearing aid.

5(b). If you have already paired hearing aids, but need to re-pair another set or hearing aids that have been serviced, tap on the name of the hearing aids, and tap on “Forget this Device”. Go back to step 4 and continue.

6. (a)Finally, when the devices have been connected, download the company specific app from the App Store®. Once installed and opened, it will automatically detect your paired hearing aids and you’ll be in full control.

6 (b). In order to forget previously paired hearing aids from the app and “start afresh”, go to the settings menu on the app (usually 3 horizontal lines ) and go to app settings and follow instructions.

How to Pair Hearing Aids to Android:

You can pair your Bluetooth hearing aids to your Android device through the company specific app. After that, you’ll be able to control your hearing aids from your phone’s screen and even possibly, stream sound directly from your device to your hearing aids.

1. Restart the hearing aids (either open and close the battery doors; or place them in the charger for 5 seconds, then remove them) and place them close to your phone. They will remain in pairing mode for about 3 minutes.

2. Open Google Play and download the app for your specific hearing aid if one is available. The app might be able to walk you through the process of pairing your devices. Otherwise, continue with step 3.

3. Go to Settings on your phone.

4. Make sure Bluetooth is ON

5. Tap Connected devices > Pair new device.

6. Choose your hearing aid from the list of available devices. If you have more than one hearing aid: Wait for the first hearing aid to connect, then tap the other hearing aid in the list of available devices. The Android smartphone is now connected to the hearing aids.
